Summer Moon's original South First location opened in 2005 and introduced Austin to a genuinely singular roasting approach: beans roasted over seasoned Texas post oak in wood-fired brick ovens built on 19th century principles. The resulting cups carry a distinct sweetness and depth that no industrial roaster can replicate. Moon Milk, their house-made sweet cream, has become one of the city's most recognizable coffee accompaniments.
