Pouring beans from Metropolis Coffee
World latte art champion Hiroshi Sawada brought his Tokyo vision to Chicago's West Loop in 2016 with a custom Nuova Simonelli Black Eagle and a signature Military Latte combining matcha, vanilla, espresso and cocoa. The Project X espresso blend was developed with Metropolis to replicate Sawada's Tokyo flavors with a Midwestern character. Set inside the same Hogsalt Hospitality building as Green Street Smoked Meats, the industrial-chic space has become one of the city's most recognizable specialty destinations.
