Opened in 2025 by Brian Christie (Santa Cruz) and Andreas May at Toftegårds Plads 2 in Valby, Pontes takes its name from the Portuguese word for bridges, referencing the international partnership behind it. All coffee is roasted on a one-kilo machine in-house with a focus on natural-processed lots from small, fully traceable farms, and the menu is entirely plant-based by conviction rather than trend. Roasting happens on Wednesdays while the bar is open, giving regulars a front-row seat to production.
