Sevengrams has roasted coffee in Milan since 2009, and its Coffee Studio at Via Valparaiso 9 is self-described as being for espresso lovers only: the tasting area, roastery, and specialty shop share a Milanese courtyard near the design-forward Tortona district. Resident micro-roaster Lot Zero, an all-female team founded by Chiara Bergonzi, roasts in small batches on a Dutch Giesen machine, supplying the studio's rotation of single origins. A second studio sits on the fashionable Corso Venezia for those in the east of the city.
