Coffee Project New York opened at 239 E 5th Street in 2015 and built its reputation on the deconstructed latte, a three-part service that lets drinkers taste espresso, steamed milk, and the finished drink separately before combining them. The East Village flagship now operates alongside a Queens roastery and several other Manhattan locations, but the original remains the most intimate. The menu includes siphon brewing and a thoughtful nitro cold brew program alongside rotating pour-over lots from their in-house roasting team.
