Cafe Secreto is reached through an archway off Rua Gago Coutinho, tucked into a small residential vila near Largo do Machado in Catete. Owner Gabi Ribeiro curates a rotating guest-roaster programme that has featured lots from Fazenda Ninho da Aguia and Sitio Santa Rita in Minas Gerais alongside the house beans from Fazenda Ambiental Fortaleza. The naturally fermented bread and house yogurt with granola make it worth seeking out for breakfast as much as for coffee.
