Founded by Jacob, who trained at Vits, Café Blá on Lilienstrasse roasts in-house on a Giesen WA15 and pours the results in a Scandinavian-inflected room close to the Isar and the Deutsches Museum. The palate leans light, fruity, and transparent, with filter and espresso given equal standing. The architectural exterior and neon-accent interior make it one of the most photographed specialty spaces in the city, though the coffee justifies the visit on its own terms.
